Mountaincart
at the Wildkogel
If, for a change, you’d rather whizz down the mountain on a Mountaincart than hike up it, the Mountaincart route at the Wildkogel is just the ticket. From the top station of the Smaragdbahn, the route takes you down some 4.5 kilometres towards the middle station – on three wheels, with plenty of panoramic views and even more fun.
The route takes you along gravel tracks, past alpine meadows, mountains and beautiful views down into the valley. Sometimes at a leisurely pace, sometimes at a brisk one, but always with that little tingle in your stomach. A wonderful summer experience for families, friends and anyone who, alongside hiking, nature and views, fancies a bit of action too.
Whether as an outing with the children, a sporty change of pace on holiday, or simply because you want to experience the Wildkogel in a different way: mountain carting is great fun – and afterwards, a stop for refreshments tastes twice as good.
